Welcome to the CAC!

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a safe place police or DCFS investigators send children who need to talk about sexual or serious physical abuse.  The CAC has trained staff who listen to children, asking only open questions, to find out what happened to a child and providing any needed services, like counseling or medical examinations.  We stay with a child and their caregiver throughout the life of the case, including case management, court advocacy, referrals for services, needs assessments, and counseling.

If you know of a child who is or has been abused, please call local law enforcement or make a child abuse hotline call to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) at 1-800-252-2873.
